Benefits Overview
At Protection Strategies Incorporated (PSI) d/b/a/ ETI Security, At Protection Strategies Incorporated (PSI) we take great pride in the fact that we offer employees a comprehensive benefits package that is highly competitive with other organizations. The following is intended only as a summary of (PSI)’s Employee Benefits. You will receive a follow up correspondence containing detailed plan information.
Enrollment in company benefits is not automatic. To participate, you must complete and return enrollment forms and/or enroll online within thirty (30) days of your hire date. Health Benefits
Medical coverage is provided by CareFirst for full-time (working 40+ hours per week) and part-time employees that (working at least 24 hours per week). Employees may select from three plan options: Blue Choice HMO, Blue Preferred PPO Option 15 and Blue Preferred Option 9. Spouse and/or dependent coverage is also available at pre-established rates. The medical benefit starts on the first of the month following thirty (30) days of employment.
Dental Benefits
Dental coverage is provided by Assurant for full-time employees (working 40+ hours per week) and part-time employees that (working at least 24 hours per week). Employees may select from two plan options: Freedom Basic and Freedom Advance. Spouse and/or dependent coverage is also available at pre-established rates. The dental benefit starts on the first of the month following thirty (30) days of employment.
Vision Benefits
Vision coverage is provided through EyeMed for full-time employees (working 40+ hours per week) and part-time employees that (working at least 24 hours per week). Employees may select from two plan options: High and Medium option. Spouse and/or dependent coverage is also available at pre-established rates. The plan includes an annual eye exam for a $10 office visit co-pay. The vision benefit starts on the first of the month following thirty (30) days of employment.
Voluntary Term Life (VTL) Insurance
Voluntary Term Life (VTL) Insurance is available for purchase for employees, their spouse and dependents. The benefit is provided through Fort Dearborn National for full-time employees (working 40+ hours per week) and part-time employees that (working at least 24 hours per week). Employees are guaranteed up to $80,000 of coverage if under the age of 60 without completing a Statement of Health Form; spouses up to $20,000 if under the age of 70. Eligible children that are 15 days of age to 6 months old will receive $100 of coverage; children 6 months or 18 years receive $1,000 or $5,000 of coverage. Employees are eligible for the benefit on the 1st of the month following their date of hire.
Voluntary Short Term Disability (STD)
Short Term Disability (STD) Insurance is a company paid benefit, administered by Fort Dearborn National, for full-time employees (working 40+ hours per week) and part-time employees that (working at least 24 hours per week). STD provides a measure of income in the event that you are unable to work due to a non-work related injury, illness or disability. The waiting period is 1 day for an accident and 8 days for a sickness and pays 70% of your salary up to a maximum weekly benefit of $100-$750. The benefit lasts up to 26 weeks.
Voluntary Long Term Disability (LTD)
Long Term Disability (LTD) Insurance is a company paid benefit, administered by Dearborn National, for full-time employees (working 40+ hours per week) and part-time employees that (working at least 24 hours per week). LTD provides a measure of income in the event that you are unable to work due to a non-work related injury, illness or disability. The benefit pays 60% of your base monthly salary, up to a maximum benefit of $5,000 per month, and begins after the optional 90th or 180th day of the disability.
401K Plan
The 401K Plan is administered by John Hancock. Employees are eligible to participate upon date of hire and may contribute up to 15% of their salary to the established allowable limits.
Vacation
(PSI) provides employees with an annual paid period of rest and relaxation. Both full-time and part-time employees are eligible for paid vacation absences. The earning of vacation hours is based on hours worked and the length of employment with the company, beginning with the hire date or seniority date dependent on contract requirements. The availability of earned vacation hours to be use by employees is subjected to specific vacation policies for the particular contract which the employee works.
Holidays
(PSI) observes ten employee paid holidays (in accordance with the federal government’s holiday calendar schedule). The observed holidays are: New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, President's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veteran’s Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.
